9 Reasons to Detox

Detox allows you to stop taking unhealthy or harmful foods, drinks, and other substances into your body for a period of time, in order to improve your health.

Our liver is always detoxifying but it can always do with a little help and support along the way. In a healthy body the process of detoxification runs pretty smoothly but when you are overweight or feeling run down and sluggish, then certain toxins remain active for longer and can clog up our systems. This causes us to feel more tired, bloated, puffy and moody.

The truth is, our bodies may not be fully equipped to deal with the burden they’re now facing. Today, more than ever, we’re bombarded with countless toxins—from pollution to chemicals in skin care products to preservatives, pesticides, and excessive sugar in the foods we eat. These things have the potential to throw blood sugar out of whack, deplete nutrient stores, cause a build-up of dangerous substances in the body such as heavy metals, and lead to chronic inflammation — all of which can make us tired and sick. And we’ll continue to feel this way unless we make a shift.

Why should I do a Detox?

The nine main reasons why I should detox is as follows:

  3. You feel foggy in the brain or spacey.
  4. Your joints ache especially when you wake up.
  5. You feel stressed, depressed or anxious regularly.
  6. You can’t lose weight.
  7. You have trouble sleeping and feel un-refreshed in the morning.
  8. You are exhausted.
  9. You can’t concentrate for very long.

Think back to the time in your life when you felt the healthiest. How does your current state compare? If you feel significantly less vital, or you’ve never felt that great to begin with, it could be time to rethink what you’re eating and do a detox. It’s also a great way to reboot your system and kick start your system ready for the warm months coming up.

Detox options

There are two simple detox options available to you:

  1. Basic detox (for those that stayed pretty clean & pure during winter): 10 Days of flushing the bowel and stimulating the liver. This will get you back on track and make you feel cleaner, lighter and fresher.
